The Fillmore
The Fillmore print was inspired by Lee Radziwill the younger sister of First Lady Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy. Lee's style is so simple and striking that it has always stayed with me... Such classic glamour! Photos of her from the 1960s, especially her wonderful kaftan dresses and statement necklaces, have been on my moodboards and in my sketchbooks repeatably over the years.
The name of the print comes from the music venue I used to go to in San Francisco. I will never forget seeing 'Rodrigo Y Gabriella' there in 2007.

When designing the Collection Four scarf prints back in 2015, I looked at many painters. The Scottish colourist F.C.B. Cadell jumped out at me.
Such bold colour blocking with wonderful tones and light got me really excited. His work is so strong and vibrant I had to name the scarf after him too! I'm sure I will come back to his work as his paintings are a constant sources of inspiration for me.
I have a vision of Brigitte Bardot's 1960s hair & make-up to be worn with this dress! The silk georgette has such a wonderful lightness and drape to it that it will be a dress that can be worn over and over again. Wear it with Bensimon white tennis shoe or black Saint Laurent boots.
